If it flowers I hope that she'll see the funny side of it!
That is the least that you can do for you MiL after all the times that she has looked after your plants whilst you've been on holiday!

Not really. All I know is that the wholesaler is Indian..........

I'll need a large pond - the leaves can grow up to one metre across!

So we really need the dung of a decomposed cow as well.
              Here are my first two..................
Longk - you deserve a pat on the back for those two. :snork:

Keep us posted on how they do in the dry on a radiator. I have been starting mine off (Colocasia) in polybags with high humidity.

Madahhlia - in theory, you are right they should be available in many places. Bradford, close to me, ought to be good - but other that the central market, which sells Eddoes, I can't find any good sources.

They're just there for 24hrs to dry after they got wet on the walk home.

              No pond though!

How about one of these? At least they're an indication about which streets/areas might be good to explore. Mr Yam sounds especially hopeful.

Madahhalia - that's brilliant - thank you so much.

It never occured to me to look in the yellow pages (or equivalent) - I sometimes go to Bradford and thought the easiest thing was to drive around. But its not.

I`ve started dry them out to avoid rotting .

Sal - that's very very good of you. I would love 2 suran, if you can spare them. I have quite a few large Eddoes - which may well be the same as your dasheen - so I wouldn't want you to buy any extra for me. But if you have any suran or dasheen left over that you want to get rid of - I would be very happy to take them, I don't want you to be left holding any tubers that you don't want. :dbgrtmb:

I know I'm probably too late, but should there be any left I would graciously accept! I can pay in cash, favours, left arm, 1.5 kidneys etc....
