To me that is a very good point.:blue thumb:
In the UK we are very used to the on/off type spring weather, a couple of warm days followed by a cold snap, that can cause all kinds of damage to new shoots.

What we seem to be experiencing is more of a continental type spring. Well its not actually started, yet.

But if it were to continue we could end up with a continental style summer?

My guess is though that we will follow the same vein as last year and the year before.

Once the spring gets going proper, we lose the continental influence, and start looking towards the Atlantic.:frown:

I was merely doing my bit to slow down the effects of global warming in the south - honest :dunno:

        There you go.
You can tell the gorvernment and all these pseudo-scientific agencies that climate change (as it is now known) is over :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I'm not so sure that we are experiencing global warming or even climate change as it has been mooted - I have my own theory that what we are seeing is local chilling or freezerius titusoffus to give it its full Latin name.

This is not an uncommon phenomena, however should not be confused with the more common bloweus wigusoffus or even the one we experienced a lot of last year piddlingdoon ablimminlotus

Indeed, I think that armed with this theory, we could seek to re-educate our boffins and governments into the reality of modern weather events, and of course raise taxes in appropriate ways to help combat the symptoms that fall out of these phenomena - - the first tax being on bottled spring water, as it is clearly interrupting the global water cycle which is in turn almost certainly linked to piddlingdoon ablimminlotus.

I don't believe for one minute it's global warming, climate change I will accept. :) I read history and what we are experiencing now is no different to what was happening hundreds of years ago. Getting longer in the tooth as I am, the 1950's/60s weren't a lot different weatherwise to what we are experiencing now either.

Nice and sunny this morning
Pity the forecast is for it cloud over during the day.

At least if the sun shone all day, it might improve my mood. :spinning:
