Tasmainian Devil

Got this link from a Tasmanian gardening friend.

 

I was lucky enough to see a Tasmainian Devil in the wild last year when I was camping in Tassie - It took one look at me & scampered off PDQ but was still one of the highlights of that trip.

Was staying in Weldborough, which is over the other side of the island, but they did have a bit of unlogged state forest out the back of the pub which was really rather spectacular.

I've only ever seen them in cartoons.

 

Probably just as well, they do look rather badger like, & we know what you do to them !

I just wish it had stuck around for a photo - much like the Duck Billed Platypus, clearly captured here..
