I got a load of these last spring, they flowered and were lovely. But I thought they came back every year and have lovingly kept them although they look very dead. Now I find that some people throw them out after one season..Will they flower again? Should I keep them or chuck them?

I've hauled them out. Will they maybe have seeded themselves in that bed?

No I doubt it I have never had any re-seed, but thinking about it they never had the chance to set seed as I had summer bedding going in as soon as they finished flowering , oh well now you have space for something else

we had a single big yellow wallflower in the garden for years, it did get very woody at the base but it got away with it as it sorta flopped over & grew out sideways (if that makes sense) which covering the woody area's. it was eventually about 2ft high by 3ft wide and always looked nice even in winter as it never lost its leaves...of course being the plonker i am it only occurred to me to take cuttings from it when it was on its way out and of course none of them took:gaah:
