Hello JWK, They were at Glazier's Lane surgery ( near Normandy) . They are just inside the entrance . They also have lots of different plants, seeds, small bags of Compost. Everything is half the price of what you would normally pay

That is such a great idea .

      Secure place to sell plants.
      Lots of constantly changing "customers".
Encourages impulse buys cos plants are so cheap.... everyone loves a bargain!
Gets people out in their gardens.. in fresh air/sunshine to plant things.
Maybe it will attract people who would never dream of going into an expensive garden centre... get them interested in learning about plants/growing/gardening

      Just a brilliant idea.
      Might even make everyone healthier.
Should be made compulsive for all GP's to try this!!!!

Can I add : behind the surgery is a ' Therapy garden' this is where many people with health issues can go to learn and grow plants or just relax

Just a couple of minutes from there ( further up the lane) there is a lady in her 70s that sells plants outside the front of here house. I have never had 1 problem with anything I have bought from her. She splits the plants in her garden ( garden is massive) both her and her husband adore their garden and have kept it up since they bought the house when first married. I can honestly say her's are the best value , they never fail .

Just to let you know JWK , if there isn't any in the surgery, as you drive in to the little cul-de-sac , if you look straight ahead there is a huge car park. Drive into here and to your left is a hut , as you get closer to it you can see the gardens . Inside you will find reception and all you have to do is to ask to see the plants. I have been today and there are about a dozen of the ones you liked. There is lot's of other plants, herbs etc. Very friendly people and very good prices . It is actually a Charity and the money raided on the plants go toward it. The lady I spoke to has a husband that works in Kew Gardens and he advises them on the plants

Hi GG, I called into the Surgery and they were very helpful pointing out where to go to find the charity. It was just behind the surgery as you said, it closes at 4pm so I was too late, but I will get there during sometime this week, it looks a very interesting place and a worthwhile charity.

Funnily enough although I've never been to that surgery before, Mrs JWK goes there with her dodgy knee, they specialise in joint problems.

That's OK, they look like a worth-while cause. I'm looking forward to seeing what they grow.
