    70 years ago today my In-Laws got married, through thick and thin they are still here and got this from HRH today:

    Father-in-Law says 70 years is like having two life sentences :)

                    They have three of those cards now :old:

                    Mrs JWK reckons HRH sits and signs each one. It's a nice thought but she would have too many for that wouldn't she? Mind you it does look like a proper ink signature i.e. not a stamped or pre-printed one.

                    70 years of marriage is a great achievement. Congratulations to them. :dbgrtmb:

                    Love the Queen's anniversary card.

                    Shame my parents will never reach their 70th, and the chance of getting to their 60th is .... :scratch: Dad is 94 now:old:, but with lots of love and attention from us, he may be able to reach his 99 th birthday :wub2: and therefore their diamond anniversary.

                        May I add my own (more humble) congratulations to Mr & Mrs Fuller: an accomplishment many subsequent generations may never attain, let alone dream of!

                        I do believe she does sign them personally, John. I think I recall a documentary showing her doing just that. And, if you sit back and think about it, while it may seem like she would have gazillions to do ... there probably isn't as many as we'd like to believe there are who attain such anniversaries.

                          Thanks for that Mum, it's lovely getting something so personal from the Queen. It's true there aren't many folk reach their 70th Anniversary. There certainly aren't any such cards in the shops.
