I like them both. I haven't seen your living room so can't comment which I think would suit best. Probably the first one for the garden though, for the folly.

Not necessarily; much would depend on the style of furnishings within the same environment.

Has to be the first re: clocks - to keep with the "marble" theme - coupled with that amazing coffee table you have (and the "Green Man Wood Carving" piece); all added together, they will make for an amazing sitting room. Full of character, blended together with a smidgen of quirkiness, but all (undeniably) very "Folly Mon".

Ultimately, it doesn't matter what others may think (or not think!) of your choices. After all, you are going to live with the choices you make. Personally, having visited a good number of "houses" in my time, few rarely stand out as "homes". We may all live in 'houses', but, to make a "home" means to imprint our hearts and soul on a place and to make it a part of who we are. That is what you are doing, Folly Mon. You are taking your passion for what you adore and you are incorporating that into your surroundings. You are giving your home the very essense of your self.

Do it! Makes no difference whether others dis/like your choices. The fact remains, *you* like it. It represents what you like, what you feel and who you are.

Just one word of caution though (:heehee:) ... just make certain your beloved likes it too ;) Because that is the one "opinion" you really should take notice of xMx

Sorry Nick, I can't imagine either of your clocks sitting on the mantle of the first one. The clocks and the fire place are highly decorated and I think they will clash.
