Put shelves into the Green House and moved what seed trays I could into it to give me more space in the Kitchen!!! I also planted a Camellia into a large pot of ericaceous compost as my garden soil is too neutral to give support it. The wind was far too strong today to do anything to serious.:dunno::coffee:

I've planted Camellia "Snow Flurry", Jenny. In the early years I tried growing Camellias and failed due to my ignorance of their requirements and a busy working life. It's not one of the Shrubs that I can get excited about to be honest. But I thought putting one in a large enough pot with the right compost in, watering it with rain water might do the trick.:snork:

        I like that Pete!

I see your clump of Euphorbia in the background - one of mine rotted at the root this winter.

Put my tree ferns out today. They are in the lee of a wall for shelter, will actually plant them in a month, but was planning to only fleece them, not bring them back in, from now on. Except if we get a very sharp frost forecast.

Hi manage to edge the borders today. Also planted one of my new trachy's which arrived today. The wind here in Nottingham is terrible today, so did not get much else done. The other trachy is against the house wall to keep out of the wind, but even then it blew over quite a few times. Had to box it in with bags of compost and gravel to keep it upright :snork:

Had some blue poppies turn up in the post today, I had forgotten I ordered them. Potted them up to grow on and I have station sown 3 different varieties of beetroot.

Gave the inside of my gates 4 coats of cream paint to match the house. The outside are black. Just need to do the fence panels now in the same cream.

I "acquired" some Blue Poppy seed pods last year when visiting my Sister at her Apartment and the surrounding gardens had some in the borders, :snork: and have sown them in two large trays to see what sort of success I get.
