Tulips Anyone

    Its only 8 months to Christmas and not one Tulip yet !!!!! Flower heads are imminent , but not a flower yet . Any one having any luck ?

    Christmas Harry! That's a dirty word right now, let's have some summer first! :heehee:

    No luck with my tulips, possibly because I haven't got any, but my daffs are in full bloom still. :biggrin:

      Yes my tulips are out , not opened yet , but just about ....will post some pictures .

        Two days of warmer weather and they're splitting out all over the place! Lots of ones I don't remember planting too...

        Those Tulips are stunning Sal , do you know the name ? Some of mine are showing today , a kind of orangey flush like a tequila sunrise gorgeous :dbgrtmb:

        Harry , I only grow parrot tulips ......not a great fun of the normal variety .

              I haven't got any tulips Sal, thanks to you I might well have them next year. They are beautiful. :)

                there are so many strange variety that it`s a crime not to try them ......also I`ve tryed so cover all with sand and worked really well agains slugs .

                  Well my Tulips have really kicked in this weekend :dbgrtmb: Feels like spring now with the daffs and tulips now in bloom . We even sat out in the garden until 7 o clock last night - we were frozen by that time though !

                    I last showed this pot with sticks in bare soil to deter "visitors" back in January I think. Well, it worked and here's the contents today. The tulips were a freebie from one of the Seed catalogues last Autumn,

                      Indeed they are Tete a tete Harry. I think a degree of luck in the timing, as the daffs have been out for 4 weeks.
