Crikey - I must get mine sown then!

Is it best to bring them on in peat pots first then, or can they go straight into a prepared bed?

I just got mine going ready for two reasons one because I wanted to give them a early start so I could get a early crop and they are going on a new allotment and wanted to give them a head start on all the weeds that will be popping up

Thanks loli - and sound advice given that we seem to have adopted a few residents including a nesting pair that have returned to reside in my buddleia davidii (they get board and lodgings, but never pay any rent!)

Return residents too Zigs - they were here last year, and obviously liked the place (probably because they get fed and even get tumble dryer fluff left out for them to use in their nest!)
