Mine are still looking rather pathetic but I'm hoping a nice mucky new bed is just what they want to kick them into a growth spurt! :please:

I've started to harden mine off today, just got to remember to bring them back in later, it's my In-Laws 70th Anniversary Party today and the beer might affect my memory.

                    Hiya folks.

I got back today after a few days away, only to find that my Onions had pretty much dried out and lots had their leaves flopped down:mad: It must have been quite warm while I was away. Trouble is, I had to keep the greenhouse shut as I have the heat on at night. A right pain in the 'treetrees'

Hope they recover Freddy. Yes it has been quite hot with lots of sunshine.

                      Hiya John.

Forget what I said about the light spectrum, that's probably a load of nonsense:) I've been giving it some thought, and I'm now thinking that maybe it's a lack of wind action toughening them up?
Anyway, I've taken your lead and have started to harden them off. It looks like night temps are on the up, so maybe another week to planting time?

                      Cheers...Freddy

Yes Freddy, I think getting a gentle breeze will help them toughen up. Same goes for tomatoes, I've rigged up a little fan on a timer in my grow box as I'd read that it helps produce stronger/stubbier plants.
