My tomatoes are all in the g.house now Freddy, still in their pots but no longer getting fanned, they are looking nice and squat and strong, so I think it helped a bit.

My onions have really improved being outside during the day, the leaves are no longer all floppy and easily bent, they are much stiffer and it might be my imagination but the plants seem visibly stronger.

Wrapping? Sounds like a lot of messing about? I suppose if I had tall cloches (is there such a thing?) that would work. I'm probably missing something...

I suppose it would work as long as there was no chance of damaging the leaves, and that's the difficult part?

We are very unlikely to get a severe "ground frost" at this time of year but I acknowledge we could.....

Onion seedlings can take a frost, you only need heat to germinate the seed!

Look at it this way, Garlic needs a cold blast in order to produce cloves? Garlic is an Allium as are onions, they are HARDY, STOP fluffing and plant them out!

Like what I have done! :dancy:

                  Hi there Vince.

I look at it this way, I've tried to give them a good start, so for the sake of a few days I think it's worth just hanging back so as not to let them suffer a set-back.

The few of mine that have survived the nuclear winter are just putting on a new bit of growth, even the Chives have surpassed them.
