I'm trying out a new "system" this year. If I have lots of spare time then I generally do jobs there and then, but mostly I have to try and remember what needs doing so I can get round to actually doing them.
This year I thought I'd draft an A4 drawing of the garden in plan and laminate it and pin it to the kitchen wall. Whenever I have a little job to do I'll mark it up with a dry board marker and wipe it clean afterwards :)

I carry a little notebook and pen in my pocket when I'm in the garden, and when I see things I make a note.

Then I transfer that to my Excel spreadhsheet with priority, date, materials needed etc.

Then I put it in Microsoft Project so I can get a Gantt Chart and do the critical path analysis.

Then I print it all out, stick it on the wall, and admire it :heehee:

All joking apart I do have a "Monthly Jobs" wordprocessor DOC that is separated into fortnightly sections (01-Month, 15-Month, 01-NextMonth and so on) which has lists of things that need doing on/around that time - that way the BBQ is out and charcoal status checked / bought before I am told that I have been booked to host the feeding of the 5,000 TODAY :heehee:

I also record the flowering dates of the main plants in the same list in a space saving format:

          My Plant Name 01Xxx09, 07Xxx10, 12Xxx11, 03Xxx12, 27Xxx13
          Next Plant Name ...
