At work this morning at a large garden I look after, whilst digging over the soil and weeding I discovered 5 buried duck eggs all in different spots. They were all undamaged and buried about an inch below the soil surface and there were no obvious signs that anything was there such as a mound of soil, it was a very tidy job :snork:

The garden in question is about half a mile to the nearest water; a small river, so I'm guessing that where the duck eggs came from but who brought them??, squirrel, fox, mink???

Confirms my thoughts too :dbgrtmb: as I guessed the eggs would be too large for a squirrel and anything like a mink would just eat them there and then

If squirrels can manage coconuts, then surely duck eggs wouldn't be too big for them?
