Thankyou Shiney thats very kind of you  I'll pm you later, thought it was good for shade thats why I wanted one, for in the wood, the carex's is better for sun, great that it seeds around to plenty of room for it to go mad in there :dbgrtmb:

The Spirea thunbergii in the front garden is putting on a good show this year.

      DSC07963.JPG

The winter pansies (Forerunner Mixed) did nothing all winter but are making up for it now.

      DSC07964.JPG

A rather chaotic mix of wallflowers and self seeded forget-me-nots with a green alkanet which appeared at the back for good measure. Works for me!

I planted my Lathyrus sativus azureus out last week - seems happy enough now.............
          DSC_0367.jpg

Another climber, this one is perennial - Eccromocarpus scaber is just getting going. Probably a couple of months late this year.................
          DSC_0368.jpg

A new addition - Veronica gentianoides. Taken as a division from Sues garden last year and kept under glass until mid April.

The flowering Cherry in full bloom..................

The Wisteria is seriously loaded this year...............

I'm getting impatient waiting for the Clianthus trusses to open!

Longk, thank you for that lovely display of " not your usual " specimens. I've grown my Lathyrus Azureous in bog roll tubes. They are ready to be potted up and given their homemade bamboo frame to climb up on.

remind me in a couple of weeks and I'll try to find a division of the Veronica if you want.

                  Enjoy!

I noticed this as well! Perhaps longk can't wait to get out there and check the plants even if it is a bit dark and with such a lovely garden and beautiful plants growing so would I!!

I seriously was very busy yesterday (accounts, invoicing etc.), despite being on the site a lot of the time. Always take the camera out at night when I check for the slimey critters.
Also, I like the effect. And with digital cameras I find flash seems to capture the trickier colours the best.

Since several of you seemed to like it and made such kind comments, here are a couple more shots of my 'accidental' bed containing wallflowers, along with self seeded forget-me-nots and green alkanet.

I seem to remember on another thread quite recently, we were discussing which 'weeds' we would tolerate in our gardens. If given the chance, nature can quite often create effects which are every bit as good, if not better than, those we create ourselves. :)

I seem to recall that I may have expressed my dislike for Forget me Nots:sofa:. They are one of the banes of my life:gaah:

This weed is doing well at the moment. Arum maculatum is allowed to do well here though!
