Fascinating creatures if you take time to watch them.
Mrs W used to have them in a tank when she was a primary school teacher and the kids loved watching them. "Look Miss they're kissing."

Saw my 1st two swifts feeding off the River this morning.

Two recent visitors. The larger magpie took great umbrage at the smaller "intruder" and spent a lot of time chasing it around the garden seat and on and off the fences! (Please excuse crummy old shed as a backdrop.)

 

All of the shots on this day were amazing, but I love this face off between these two.
