    Hi All,
I have just recently joined and having posted on a rose thread I thought that I should say hello and introduce myself a little more. I'm a fairly new gardener, and have just gotten married, and also have my first ever space to garden in London – a lot of firsts! So I'm learning a lot about container gardening through trial and error; and learning how to use a small space efficiently. With such a small space, I'm all about scented plants, however with restricted sunlight (south-facing, but surrounded by tall buildings) I think I might have to be a little more selective.
The dicentra normally lives where the pallets are, which is almost completely shady (from which my husband has made 4 planters!). We're still working on it all, to hopefully be able to enjoy this summer (if the weather every perks up).

Thanks in advance for all your advice in reply to the multitude of questions I will be asking!

Hi CJ, welcome to Gardeners Corner:thumbsup::snork: That is one very nice looking garden and there's a lot of thought and effort gone into that, the white painted wall is just the ticket for reflected light and really shows off the containers and plants.......that's fantastic. Dicentras like light shade and moist well drained soil....I've got some in a bog garden which is just that, lightly shaded and damp and they're a lovely plant.

    Hallo CJ,
:sign0016: glad to have you on board. I'm eyeing up that wall space and thinking what an ideal spot to hang wall planters full of things that smell nice. There are plenty of summer "trailing variety" bedding plants that smell good. I have a very small garden, so thinking in mini size comes naturally to me! Violas, petunias and nemesias all have lovely perfumes and should provide lots of bloom this Summer.
Others will be around later to say hello too,

    Jenny namaste
