I remember you telling us about the possibility of getting your neighbours pond equipment and fish; well done you!

I know just what you mean about not being able to stop looking at them; I was the same when I moved here and discovered fish in my pond. Well, until the heron gulls stole them :cry3:

Wishing you many happy, stress-relieving hours watching the fish swim by (next year you may get dragonflies too!) :blue thumb:

            Wow!! That's wonderful :yahoo:

Remember to let the water settle before putting the fish in. I don't know a lot (I know nothing :heehee:) about pond fish but I was always told not to put them straight into the water when you fill the pond.

Will you two be joining all of us in the Indian on Saturday? :)

              Hiya Nick.

I assume you already have a pond to put them in? If so, how big is it? Koi need lots of water otherwise they will struggle. I'm not trying to pour water on your fire, but it's better to get off to a good start:dbgrtmb:

                Hiya Nick:)

Just to give you some idea, my Koi pond is around 10ftx7ft and 5ft deep. It holds around 2,200 gallons. It's not fully stocked yet, but I wouldn't put more than 15 Koi in it. Just so you know:blue thumb:

Try and get as much of the water they are already in to put in their new home. This won't shock them quite so much as completely new water.
In the end, they are animals and, therefore, come with all the responsibility of care that any animal comes with. You can look forward to many, many years of enjoyment with these beautiful creatures if it is done right.
Good luck and have a lovely time with them. :)
