:) I always put at least a new one up each year so my friends on here can see me ... this was me today at the caravan on the river, now aged 65 ... I think I look like a blob in that chair but am not that big ... really ... it's my new nautical trousers ... (but my fat neck doesn't help, does it?) ... :heehee:

I just love McD's fish sandwiches and force t'other half there on a regular basis ... but he doesn't mind as he loves them also! xx

that is what lots of people over 45 are worried about, to hide wrinkles with some cream, powder or some botulinum toxins. But wrinkles are a sign of experience in life, they show that you now belong among the wisest , that you are close to the end of a long journey and you made it. That cannot be bad.

I agree with all that - apart from the bit "...close to the end of a long journey....". There's still a long way to go :blue thumb: :old: :)

I was a bit tearful in January when I reached my 70th and went to a pub lunch with red eyes.My husband said to a guy we knew there " she's a bit emotional today. It was the BIG ONE ". His friend rushed over to give me a hug as I counted out 70 with my fingers. He said "70's no big deal - it's not the top - youdon't start sliding down afterwards. I'm 75 next month and have more happy, contented brain cells now than I had 25 years ago. It's still an up and up happy journey. ENJOY." And , do you know ? It really ,really is. :dancy:

They mean even more than that to me: I've outlived my eldest brother and my dear brother-in-law. So to me, they mean I am getting to live the life they were denied. I wear mine with pride :dbgrtmb:
