                  This song has been recorded by hundreds of singers. It was written by Pete Seeger in 1955 during the time of protest songs. This was an anti-war song.





                  This one, The Last Rose Of Summer', has been performed by many more singers but not recorded by so many. That's because it was written in 1805 by the Irish poet Thomas Moore :heehee:

                  Although it was written in English I think that Nana Mouskouri (from Greece) does a superb rendition of it in French. She recorded this show in 1967

                  Of course, at the other end of the spectrum you have Dame Edna Everidge singing 'Wave That Glad'. This was her finale when she retired last year.
