    Morning all :new:
, it's a lovely sunny day here in Lincolnshire. So we are out in the garden and the hubby is digging small trenches down the side of our 2 x 8 ft guardmen polytunnels . We have 2 greenhouses joined end to end, and I was in them busying away until a few years back and our neighbours kids would throw hard apples over the hedge and smash the glass, which I can tell you isn't great when your in the greenhouse !!. It was no good telling them as they just did it more , so I let my greenhouse get overgrown with Briers etc. This year I thought I'd get back in it. So after hubby spent a whole weekend clearing it ( sort of , he still got some to do !!). I'm back in. We then went to a garden centre and saw these polytunnels and to be honest I thought they looked a bit flimsy, but after reading - Steves and Julies posts , I've told hubby we need to stake them down , so that is what he is doing at the minute. So far I've planted some- onions, cauli, tates, beans, cue, peppers and radish and lettuce- so far so good, but I am learning. But now I'm wanting a bigger one- cos I see the potential whoo hoo, go poly !!!! :wow:
I will take some pictures on my Ipad and post

Nice going Jangles...I really like how you'll be able to walk through all of them at once, it'll be much easier to mange/water etc like that.

      Steve...:)

It all looks lovely. It really is addictive though. I keep finding myself wondering how I got back into mine when I'm supposed to be indoors doing something else!
I'm already thinking about a bigger one and the dogs think we live out there now! :)

Blooming weather.. Cant it see I need to get things done in the greentunnel !!. It has been raining and windy all day , and normally I take our son out there with me, He is a helpful chap, helped plant 40 bean seeds and he is growing 4 pumpkin plants of his own. He loves going in there- he is 22 and disabled so we get him in his 'POD' and wheel him out there, But cos of this darn weather he will freeze before I get him in the tunnel !!. So all I can do is stand and watch ... On a better note I am SO HAPPY, we have been looking and bidding on larger tunnels on ebay etc , and always losing them to a higher bidder with more money than me!!. And I have spent the last couple of hours putting a few on my watch list on ebay , when the phone rings ... It's the other half, you'll never guess what he said ???. He said he saw a poly tunnel frame in a field and stopped and knocked on the door at the house , he asked the guy if he knew who owned it , the bloke said he did , and Paul said don't suppose it's for sale is it ?, and the guy said yes !!!
        £50 !!! WOO HOO !!!. Paul thinks it could be 40' x 12'. :wub2: I do hope it is.
Later today we are going to Northampton to collect a Howard rotavator , so we can get that bottom end sorted , things are looking up :yahoo:

Been and had a look at the tunnel, she's in a bad way ! all her plastic is blown off, and she's a little naked Ha HA. we wanted to have a measure up, but no-one was at home so we couldn't measure but I did take a piccy. My son wanted some chickens so......... he's got 4!!. We have called them sage, popcorn, kiev and onion. They will have a great time eating in the garden and hopefully gonna over winter them in the tunnel. will try and see if we can get to measure her tommorow
