Seriously, we have too many roses. 193 different varieties if I'm to believe my listing on HelpMeFind ! Actually I don't even think that the list is up to date? We have over 500 in total plus another 80+ that we grow in pots (in the greenhouse for Malvern Spring Show).
Yes, I'm sure we have too many.

The roses are running about three weeks late this year. I doubt that there will be many roses for the June rose shows.
Maybe we'll have a heat wave and everything will work out? Doubt it somehow.

I don't know where you guys are based but if you're within striking distance of the M25, you need to get down to St Albans for a real rose fix.
15, 000 roses all in full bud and just waiting to bloom. The National amateur rose show is on the 7th and 8th July when the Gardens will look stunning. Well worth a visit.
I'll post a details link later

I have a few roses - none named variety unfortunately. My favourite - I believe a rambler - normally flowers May - and gets rained on before all the flowers have finished - this year it has started late so I am hoping for a nice display.

When I moved here 30 years ago this rose was in a middle bed - knowing nothing about gardening at the time I kept cutting back the long unruly branches :ouch1: till my dad got me a rose book - it now grows up the fence amongst the ivy (which badly needs cutting back).
