Cambrian [Welsh] Poppy


"Bowles Gold" Grass in the margins of the pond. The seed heads will turn a lovely dark chocolate brown


The Hosta "Blue Angel" behind the Bowles Gold grass does seem to mind the damp, shady position on the competition from the other plants.


This little Acer was only planted last year but seems to be happy in the shade squeezed between a Viburnum, White Buddleia [which is hidden] and the Choisya [Oh, and Nettles!!]

 

Hi Armandll my friend lovely photo's ,I have the local garden competition in 4 weeks so the judges like neat and tidy(not my cup of tea though)this will be my last year as I have won 7 cups,14 shields ,and numerous amounts of cash prizes and ornaments, over the last seven years.do its time to hang up my gardening tools and concentrate on my roses next year

 

Hi Woo, I haven't got the nerves or courage to let Judges into my garden as I know I've broken all the rules and that they wouldn't like it. I think my type of gardening will only appeal to a few But with your knowledge and skill I'm not surprised that you've won so many prizes!!

 

Hi Armandll thank you my friend but really it's just knowing what the judges like as they all have different likes and dislikes,in fact I went two years without a trophy at all when Kim wild was a judge, Much the same whatever you are showing ,I found it when showing Roses and canaries
