Quite a few have fab flowers and the bees love them.

The last of this years Frits - Fritillaria camschatcensis.....................
          DSC_0534.jpg

Loves it in this fairly shady spot. I really love the colour and arrangement of the foliage.............
          DSC_0535.jpg

A recent purchase is Brimeura amethystina. It rather looks like a china blue dwarf (15cm tall, each bloom is about 10mm or so) Bluebell................
          DSC_0537.jpg

Every time that I walk past the Nectaroscordum I have to turn them up and take a look inside.............

I know, I know, Spruce.:dunno: But I've pondered about Heuchaeras for a long time and about adding them into the garden..........but for some odd reason I just don't rate them. They do have flowers but not my kind of flowers and the foliage is more desired than the flowers by most gardeners. As I said I like lots of flowers and [differing] heights and the dynamic changing that most Hardy Perennials bring to a border.........Heucheras seem to more static.:snork:

You could be right Grannie Annie. We usually have warmer weather later in the year and the temperatures stay fairly even due to the sea. However we don't get hot summers here, can't have everything though! :)

These were all taken last night ...

Deciduous Azalea. This was supposed to be Anneke when I ordered it, so not sure what it is. Notcutts have said I can keep it and they will send out an Anneke as well :blue thumb: Lovely fragrance.

My camera seems to be making everything look more garish (especially the pinks) so will have to fiddle with the settings. The pinks are not quite that 'bright' in real life.

Those foreigners escape everywhere in our garden. They much prefer dry sunny positions, particularly in gravel, and go well in alpine beds.

Good job I took the photo yesterday, Shiney, the petals were all gone by this morning (but then, it has been windy here).
