    Right, that's all done now. All the outdoor toms are planted out. That's 2xLegend, 2xIldi, 3xFerline, 3xRoma, 3xCuore De Bue and 5x Gardeners Delight. I didn't bother with the Rosada as they were very weak and spindly, and were right from the start (don't understand that:what:). A pity, as I particularly like those, when roasted. I seem to have ended up with lots left over, again! Every year it's the same:doh:

      Mine too, and are a right pain moving in and out the greenhouse for hardening off. Their long spindly leaves keep snagging everything they pass, and getting tangled up with each other like magnets. The Rosada have also taken on a purple tinge as though they have been too cold (probably have). Completely different to my other outdoor variety, Ferline, which are much stronger/stubbier, a nice healthy deep green colour and now in flower.

        Status update: 05-Jun
        Sown: 28-Feb. Grown on with supplemental light

        All plants about the same height approx 1m50cm. Half are in 2L pots, the other half in 3L Deep "Rose Pots", probably will be planted out in greenhouse this w/e

        All plants are rather drawn as insufficient light towards end of their supplemtal light period - too many plant, not enough lights, Tomatoes were furthest from the light (they had daylight during the day though ...)

        FT=Flowering trusses, FS=Fruit size of biggest fruit on 1st truss

        Ft=2 Fs=pin Amish Paste
        Ft=1 Fs=pin Black Cherry (2nd truss has one flower on one plant ...)
        Ft=2 Fs=pin Black Krim
        Ft=2 Fs=1/2" Floridity
        Ft=3 Fs=3/4" Golden Sunrise
        Ft=2 Fs=1" New Girl
        Ft=2 Fs=pin Pink Brandywine
        Ft=2 Fs=1/2" Rosada
        Ft=2 Fs=3/4" Sungella (the most drawn / spindly)
        Ft=3 Fs=1/2" Yellow Pear Beams

            The tomato jungle in the greenhouse is taking shape -
            [IMG]
            --
            with the tallest plant (Tamina) being 4' high from the soil
            [IMG]
            -- (its 4' from the soil level to the horizontal cane - I loose a bit of hight 'cos the pots stand on the quadgrow reservoir).Ive also just noticed it put out another foot long stem from the base since I checked it a day or two ago. Im going to need too start training it up the string to the ridge in the next coupe of days.

            Im refilling 5l of nutrient solution each day for four plants (so 10l in total) - next year I think I shall invest in the big tank to keep them topped up !

                Crikey! Mine are nowhere near as tall as everyone else's it seems!

                On the bright side, I have a few fruits setting on my Maskotkas, and a couple have appeared over the last few days on the Marmande's that are in the greenhouse (despite the fact that they are less than 18-inches tall!)

                    Glad its not just mine! I have the two extremes this year - the Marmande and Ailsa Craig are short and stumpy, but healthy as hell (cracking strong stems and foliage), while the Faworyt are tall, leggy and limp.

                    I have flowers and fruit setting on the Maskotka's and Marmandes (the Maskotka's are scruffy as hell), whilst the rest are languishing behind, and my Millefleur are barely past the seedling stage.

                      I only have flowers on the Garden Pearl - the others have buds but nothing more than that definitely not tall either - but likewise thick sturdy stems - I thought it was because they had been outside too early - but perhaps it's just this year's weather messing with our plants (and head in my case :snork: )

                        I have 'Super Marmande' in the greenhouse, and are also very stocky. Some fruits forming too:) 'Country taste' are looking good and forming fruits. My 'Sungold' are forming fruits, but are a bit spindly.
