See what you mean about keepers Wylie I'd have been more than happy with the first 'Sybil's Blues' cross but put it next to the second one and :wow: no contest.
Your comment on Last Frontier reminded me of one I nearly bought last year, 'Awesome Blossom' , glad I didn't after seeing the comments on the BHHS robin, said it should be called 'Awful Blossom' as its not a nice colour at all, probably looks nice in the US but colours can look so different here.
Love all todays pictures :hapydancsmil:, Carpathian Cavalier is gorgeous.
I'm having great fun with the crop option on my pictures, thankyou so much for explaining it to me Wylie .

I have 3 areas I will be working over this fall. I need to get rid of last years under-achievers and then in this years new ones I need to weed out some of those; so I have been marking, taking photos, and trying to plan the whole event. Then at some point I need to start dividing the named ones that have made some really big clumps - summer starts in a few days and I am already dreading the fall. So no flowers named Ruth - I have to remain ruthless.:heehee:

I agree with Simbad that second plant of Sybil's Blues is a cracker. The photo too has to be admired too if I may say so Wylie. Perfectly clear and in focus. It really is just a case of making sure you take pictures of all and discarding the inferior ones.

It is registered as blooming late, and with the season in the UK just getting started, it may take a little time.

I finally get to use one of my better DIPS, Brigade of Butterflies x Sexy Sally:
Brigade of Butterflies x Sexy Sally.JPG
This is a 7" cascade type. I crossed it to a double of Unk x Smoke Scream:
                  BCL#16b.JPG
I do have one that I'm not sure what it is. I was sent as a bonus plant, either New Quest or Ageless Beauty. Then I got a note saying that there was an error, and it was the other one. Here is what I have:
                  Ageless Beauty or New Quest.JPG
There is so little between the 2, that I just don't know. But it has really nice midribs ans multiplies fast.
While out back, running around spreading pollen and ID tags everywhere, I ran into the problem of trying to remember if Small Tempest was a TET or a DIP.
                  Small Tempest.JPG
So many of my small daylilies are DIPs, I suspected it might be also. So back to the house to check my list, grab a few more tags, and find out it is a TET. So I crossed it with pollen from one of my cream Amethyst Reflections sdlgs. I'm trying to stay focused on my goals. I also crossed an A.R sdlg that is pink to this:

There is no designation for the various types of doubles you can get, and today I got one of the type that looks like a tissue box exploded:
                      Big Kiss x Style Plus.JPG
This is a peach coloured DIP, Big Kiss x Style Plus. It is very different from any of my TETs.
This last year on the Lily Auction, I noticed that several crosses involving Golden Tentacles were offered, and every time they either went unsold or had only 1 bid. I really don't understand because if you want a great edge, this is the one to use:
                      Golden Tentacles.JPG
Next year I will have 3 groups using this, including one with Wild Horses x Heavy Metal as pod parent.

I have a feeling mine has 1 :wallbanging:as long as I have a flower I will be happy , they are all romping away 90% have really settled in now and have scape galore , still find it strange with some of the contrasting foliage some have a slight curl to the leaf or a veining one of my mates thought the garden was full of leeks :snork: . Octopus hugs had two flowers when I left for work I should've taken the photo then but was late ! when I came in they had gone over :cry3:,
