    Well after 35 years in the horticultural business I am now disabled..... Multi level degenerative disc disease...-6 prolapsed discs.........
    What am I gona do now?
    Well would love to get into the media side of the business, have done many write ups over the years"....... Any advice out there?

    I'm sorry to hear about your back problems Doug. I don't think I'm going to be much help but would it be worth making contact with gardening magazines to see if they can help you. :)

    Well, for starters Doug, your knowledge could be a great help to our gardeners here. We have many gardeners of all levels from outright beginners, the experienced and knowledgeable, and the Specialists but all are in need of good advice now and then.

    Personally, I think that's not a bad idea at all. The Amateur Gardening Magazine uses different experts and I think a letter to them explaining your expertise may just bear fruit.....if you don't "knock on the door" you'll never know!:snork:

      That's my job for the next few days ..... A few letters out to the magazines....
      If I can be of any help here.... Just shout....
      Am also thinking about starting an on line plant supply business .. Locally to start ( Dorset) and then broadening ...
      It's quite easy to get down about things....... Positive vibes coming across the airways

        Dorset born and bred, and have been in the business since I was 13 working part time weekends for local garden centre.... And that's basically what I've done ever since ... Run garden centres ... Learnt the trade the proper way ... Started at the bottom worked my way up, have run many garden centres in southern part of the country, also did a few years as area manager with fiskars ( wilkinson sword) covering from Buckingham down to the tip of Cornwall .. So as you can imagine I have many many contacts in the trade ...
