    I'd forgotten this one. They just played it on Sky Arts. For me, a fantastic tune full of feeling and virtuosity. It like, blows up my noodle....:)

                One of the best selling songs ever.



                All the music critics were saying how deep the meaning of the words were but I remember an interview with Gary Brooker where he said "We just threw words together as they came into our heads." :heehee:

                  This is slightly different.

                  Glen Yarborough started his singing career in the 1950's and continued making hit albums through to this century. He had about 50 solo albums and 20 as a member of the famous folk group 'The Limelighter'. He also sang the title songs to a lot of films.
                  Although this is a sad ballad he also sang bright and cheerful songs as well as folk and westerns.

                  It's pure class - not run of the mill stuff .
                  It has so much dark atmosphere
                  Amazing musicians - guitarists and that drummer is spot on....
                  a great track to drown your Winter sorrows in.
