Looks rather likely IMO - thanks!

This is growing in pretty much full sun. Only started back into growth a month ago - what about yours?

It may well surprise you! S.californicum came through the winter of 2010/11 in a 8cm plastic pot!

My Baptisia also started into growth about a month ago. Like yours Longk it's in full sun looks remarkably healthy but no flowers. Perhaps I have been too "kind" to it as it has been quite heavily mulched with rotted manure like most of my herbaceous get. Maybe it flowers better if "hungry"? Looked on the net and can grow Sisyrinchium in Scotland BUT it likes 6 hours continual sunshine per day!, might be struggling to get that even in the South of England!

I think that you've just answered your own question there. Dislikes cool/cold nights when it's trying to bloom more than it needs six hours sun! They're cheap enough in the rockery section of most GCs so well worth a punt I reckon.

Possible. Sues is in a pot.

First few blooms on one of my Sollya heterophylla. This is my back up plant that I grew from a cutting last year (the mature plant was out for most of the winter)................

Campanula "Silver Bells". It's supposed to have purple foliage but looks rather green to my eyes..................

Digitalis parviflora (one of my favourites). The flowers are small on this species at just 10mm.............

Looks as tho you have just the kind of garden I like Simbad. Stuffed with lovely plants and hardly any bare soil. I attempt to get this look but sometimes it turns into a bit of a jungle. I find getting the spacing of plants right quite tricky. My Sun and Substance now needs an area of at least 12 ft clear round it! After this season that will probably increase AGAIN. It's almost at the stage of needing a bed all to itself and I haven't had it that long either! The 2 Siberica Iris I have are both about 4 1/2 -5ft tall. They like loads of moisture as you will know yourself, expect your lovely yellow one likes damp too. Picture 004.jpg Picture 006.jpg Mine get heavily mulched here as while it is Scotland here is the driest part and certainly apart from a little rain 1 night we haven't had any rain for weeks now. I've taken a photo of both. 1 is slightly paler than the other. When we come to do our Iris swaps (my little dark purple 1 still isn't out yet but will post a photo when it is to see if you like it)if you like either both of the Siberica you're more than welcome to some. If you want to have a bash at growing Meconopsis could send you some seed, the only snag is if you have limey soil which they don't like.

Mine'll look like a jungle in a few weeks silu, have a pathway down the middle of one border and already I'm going to have to get the machette out lol, I'm terrible for overplanting usually the plants have to fight it out and some things have to be moved because of the competition :heehee:, growing a lot from seed you get so many plants and I always prick out too many.
I'm scared now I bought Sum and Substance last year and haven't left it a huge amount of room oooops looks like another jig around.
your siberian iris are stunning such lovely markings my blue is a much smaller variety, I'd love to try a little piece of your two pretty please  , I have one you may like if you don't have it already just starting to open so I'll post a picture in a day or two can't be sure of the variety as it was another swapped plant but the flowers are yellow and white and like yours 4-5ft tall.
The yellow one in my picture is growing in the pond this is the one with the variegated leaf which you can't see in the picture :).
Oooo yes I'd love to try the meconopsis seed too :)

Love your campanula Jenny if you ever want to swap a little piece let me know ;), the clematis is pretty too :dbgrtmb:
