    Sorry I was confused earlier. I think it's called pilosella aurantiaca. I got some seeds from RHS a few years ago and sowed them in a pot at the front of the house but that one has long since disappeared. This one has self seeded at the back so I'm not sure whether it's the same one, or its wild cousin which grows in profusion in a neighbour's lawn or a hybrid :what:

    Anyway you're right it is invasive, both self seeding and with creeping roots getting in amongst other plants. It needs to be kept under control but that deep orange colour makes it worth tolerating.

          Sheal - Sarracenia can produce some outstanding flowers. Here are some blooms of Sarracenia rubra (not mine sadly)............

                          Yesterday seemed to provoke some of the Hardy Perennials to flower as some Roses, Paeonias and Poppies burst from their buds.

                          The first flower this year from Paeonia "Bowles Beauty"

                          This Perennial Poppy always makes me scratch my head as I can't ever remember buying it:scratch: but I really do like it.

                          My Mother-in-law's Fuchsia "liberated" from her garden many Moons ago:heehee:

                            Hi Simbad, I'm waiting for Paeonias "Sarah Bernhardt and Karl Rosenfield to burst into flower. There are also around 7 more old varieties looking ready to flower, while a "Shirley Temple" I planted in the lawn border is struggling having to compete with the surrounding plants.....I'll have to give it some "air"!!:snork:

                            I have 'Sarah Bernhardt' too ARMANDII the scents amazing isn't it? and a white the name escapes me :scratch:, remember buying them when our girls where quite small we took them to a animal farm that had a little nursery attached, lovely day out and always reminds me when I see them flower :)
                            7 more varieties!!!!, wish I had room for more but they grow quite large don't they, I'm off to google 'Shirley Temple' not heard of that one, look forward to your pictures :)
