I thought you might like to pick up where we left off after we'd had a sit down and mug of tea.:snork:

The central lawn border just seems to have exploded with growth this year.

Even in the shade the plants seemed to have thrived.

The cooler part of the garden leading to the pond area.

This pot is one I repotted from scratch this year and it seems to like being on the stone bench.

    Fox Gloves under the Lilac.

The central border looking towards the Arbour.

Teasels, Lupins, Perennial Poppies, Paeonies, Astrantia etc in the Lawn Border
    [IMG]

I just love the way the Fox Gloves seem to glow in the evening light.

Inula, Red Hot Poker, Paeonias, Perennial Poppies, Saponaria
    [IMG]

More Paeonies and Lupins....I love watching the Paeonias going from bud to flowering.

    Getting higher and higher.

What amazes me is how the annual poppies manage to pop their head up among all the other plants.!!

These Poppies are around 20 years old and are still going strong......but the name of the variety is lost.!!

This is one of the wildlife areas by the pond where the logs, Ferns, Hostas and wild grass gives the wildlife some sanctuary.

This is part of the Jasmine Hedge which two months ago was bare of leaf and hopefully will be covered in flowers soon.

I tend to put pots into the shallow part of the pond........they look okay and it's saves watering them:heehee:

I plan to get that seed head of the Skunk Cabbage out of the pond and see if I can propagate some more.

I hope you enjoyed the amble.!!:coffee::snork:

Beautiful as always Armandii. :dbgrtmb: I'm getting a liking for the Foxgloves, they've been popping up on the bank in my garden in past years and I've given them the chop, perhaps I'll leave them alone in future. :)

How could one ever tire of taking an amble through your garden Armandii? It is such sheer beauty - you must have a breath taking view from which ever angle you look at it.

Tell me do you have an area that is not so lovely or does the beauty creep into every corner?

What a delightful, June evening, ambling amongst your treasures, Our Mandy!

Your foxgloves look magnificent; not a plant I've ever desired, or planted, but yours look wonderful.

Only where ever I am, GA, but I never look at my reflection in the pond!!:heehee: I have made, after some thought, made resting places in parts of the garden where I can sit and contemplate the worlds goings on, and also what's going on in the garden. It's usually in those moments that you see a job that needs doing!!:snork:

Hi "M", the Foxgloves are from free seeds in the Amateur Gardening Magazine and they have been absolutely lovely, but I need to make another sowing so that I can get them from year to year as they are biennials.:coffee:

Yet again, Big A, that was an incredible amble ... but I'd rather a nice glass of red wine rather than a cup of tea ... I don't drink coffee and only herbal teas, except for the occasional Earl Grey, but guess that could be classed as herbal?

Your garden reminds me of phrases such as ... 'Oh to be in England ....'

Hi Victoria, well, I have a pot of Earl Grey nearly every day.........well, its got Bergamot in it so I guess it's a Herb Tea.:coffee::snork:

I've been here and there in the World, seen some gorgeous places and met some lovely people, [whom I'm still in touch with], and yet, despite all it's faults, England is where I want to be.:dunno::snork:

              Just telling the truth, GA:snork:

Thanks again for that spiritual uplift Armandii. Who says it's been a lousy Summer? Certainly nothing in your garden......:spinning:
