I got up early today because I could see last night what would be open today:
    Yabba Dabba Doo.JPG
Yabba Dabba Doo:dancy: As a late flowering type, it is actually on schedule for my area. Of course I had to put it to work as a pollen parent (I want it to settle in, and it would spend too much energy producing seed instead of roots if it tried to set seed.) so it was crossed with another of my spiders:
    Grey Witch x Spider Miracle.JPG
I have several of this cross, but this one opened for the first time yesterday, and this is the second flower. [Grey Witch x Spider Miracle]
I also crossed it with Marked By Lydia x Clairvoyant Lady [see previous posts], trying to get the applique throat in there.

There are a few that I don't deadhead, and this year it is the Amethyst Reflections sdlgs and all of the applique throat crowd. While I will have many that I know who the pollen parent is, there will also be a group of "__ X Unk".
Gotta go - the package from Sheila just arrived and I have to put everything soaking.

So I just posted a picture of Yabba Dabba Doo on Monday, but I cann't resist one more:
          Yabba Dabba Doo.JPG
I have found that when a plant blooms this quickly it shows the soil/temp/etc. conditions of its former home. So next year it may look slightly different from being in my garden.
Yesterday I had one of my Gillian x Thomas Tew seedlings from last year bloom:
          Gillian x Thomas Tew.JPG
          Another of the one-offs.
I have been trying to get a really good photo of Laughing Clown x Country Pride and came up with this:
          Laughing Clown x Country Pride.JPG
Burnt orange with pinched petals, it really dances while only being 4" across.
          And todays pretty picture is:
          Sybil's Blues x Rainbows In Heaven.JPG
Sybil's Blues x Rainbows In Heaven. To try and enhance the eye, I crosed it to a second one:
Optical Art x Reflections In Time.JPG
This is Optical Art x Reflections In Time, a different sdlg than one of the same name I hav posted before. This has a lot of banding going on in the eye.

I don't think I've ever had a polytepal flower of 'Yabba Dabba Doo' Wylie it looks gorgeous :dbgrtmb:
Must say I'm not usually a great orange fan but the 'Laughing Clown cross has converted me :)
And the colour banding in the last two pictures :wub2:

Enjoying the sun and partying with new friends is Unidentified Flying Object:
                Unidentified Flying Object.JPG
I put it next to Yabba Dabba Doo, but it is also next to another mutant:
Evermore Lights x Spiney Sea Urchin.JPG
This is Evermore Lights x Spiney Sea Urchin. I had noticed a poly on it the other day, here is one today, and there are a couple of buds that show they will be 4-petaled as well.
Reblooming season is going strong - my #1 Amethyst Reflections x Unk has 2 scapes measuring in at 40" tall . Today there were 3 flowers at once, so it really stands above everything else.

I have several DIPs open today. Starting with the smallest, there is Clairvoyant Lady x Kermit's Scream:
                    Clairvoyant Lady x Kermit's Scream (2).JPG
It is so curled that it measures only 4.5" across. I cann't figure out how to use it, but I like it too much to toss it.
At 8" is Grey Witch x Spider Miracle:
                    Grey Witch x Spider Miracle.JPG
There are several seedlings of this cross, but this one is just under a meter tall. I crossed it to one of my skinny Summer Star x Heavenly Curls sdlgs.
The largest one today is Magic of Oz x Ashee Dashee:
Magic of Oz x Ashee Dashee (2).JPG
This is 9". One of my helpers is in the background - Pandy. I go out back and he follows.
Next week marks 8 weeks for my first TET crosses to ripen. I have a couple of pressed paper egg cartons ready to dry the seeds. The pods are starting to turn brown, so I am checking them every early evening to see if they have started to open.

For the first time, Paco Paco opened today:
                      Paco Paco (2).JPG
It is registered as semi-evergreen, but for me it is dormant. I don't know why, but I am drawn to these orange and red types.
I changed my avatar to Marked By Lydia x Clairvoyant Lady. It is a DIP like the previous one, but my only applique throated DIP, and it keeps getting better with every flower. I posted one of Purple Maze x Water Drops about 10 days ago, and today, the last one on the scape has made an slight improvement in its eye:
Purple Maze x Water Drops (2).JPG
I hope it keeps those 2 little spots on each petal.

3.000 views! We are doing pretty good on this thread.
Yesterday, I forgot to check one of my new plants that I was expecting to flower for the first time. I remembered after lunch, so it couldn't be used for any crosses; which should be done before 11 A.M.
                        Buster Ruster.JPG
This is Buster Ruster. I finally have one of those very large spiders to use, as there should be another flower in a few days.
One of my oldest seedlings, of unknown parentage, is showing why I keep it around:
                        Seedling.JPG
It is my palest yellow and always has the quilled sepals. It is also very hard to set seed with it, so this is kept for its looks.

Buster Ruster is listed at 8" (I got it from Pollie); but if you were allowed to stretch things out, it would be closer to 11".
I am out buzzing around the yard by 9 AM. Too early and there is no pollen. Too late and they don't set very well (if at all).
