Can anyone help me?

    My mum has got this rose in her garden, it's got a very strong sweet smell to it, I haven't smelt a rose like this before, she said she got it from a friend who bought it from Pakistan, can anyone help me:(

      Harry, I can help :)

      But first, what you need to do is this:

      ~ take a cutting, pencil thin in girth and about 12" long
      ~ send it to me
      ~ apply a little patience, say, about 12 - 24 months? :dunno:
      ~ bookmark this thread and I'll get back to you by then :biggrin:

              Good afternoon Harry I am pretty sure that its Alec's Red my friend I do know that in Lahore (Pakistan)they farm and grow mostly "Alec's Red" Hybrid Tea and it has a very rich sweet scent, Hope this is of some help to you:)

                this rose look very familiar to me, it is very much like one of the types that my mother had in our garden in Italy ( she had many), magnificent scent but I don't know the name of it.

                Sorry i should've explained it better i wanted to know the name of the rose. Thanks for replying to the thread, lovely to see so many helpful people:)

                    I did think about (Caprice de Meilland?) but I have always associated it with a very strong fruity scent;) and the petal count was different and the blooms are larger,I can only go on the information given and the image:)
