I started out wandering through the borders doing a bit of dead heading, but then got some more short canes and put yards of string in my pocket and started supporting and restraining some more plants that have become rampant and invasive or become so tall that they're leaning heavily. Some of the Teasels are getting taller and taller and some needed tying to a cane but it's a bit of a prickly job!!:gaah: I then got the 5 Watering Cans out and put Tomato Feed in them so that I could feed all 21 or so roses, 15 or so Cannas, and all the large pots containing other stuff!!! Doing that led me to noticing that the roses by the pond needing tying in again, which reminded me about the Clematis in the Jasmine Hedge and those on the Trellis Entrance all of which seem to have just grown like Triffids!! The Bird Table needed a scrub and fresh water and then going over to the Arbour for a sit down I realised that I hadn't fed the two roses [Alchemist and Compassion] on either side of the Abour. That let me to having to tie in both roses and the four Honeysuckle that are also on either side.:hate-shocked: Then I sat down and had a mug of tea by the pond.!!:coffee::snork:

Ok I just been looking through my garden pic file and found this one of the front when I had it landscaped must say we lost most of what was planted due to a bad winter that year.

After abandoning the idea of mowing the front lawn on Monday to trim the hedges, I did it today along with the grass verges outside my front wall.

          Piccy proof.......
Nice ones CJ. Just a crackin' job there. Lovely straight lines on the lawn and now the Lupins have had their primaries cut off :gaah:( sounds awful doesn't it?) the new secondary arrivals will look even better - there's lots of them to come.
          All looks very pretty,
          :dbgrtmb:

Today, in the garden, I did nowt; nada, zilch.

BUT, before I get thrown off GC for being a lazy, you-know-what, I was out and about in Garden Wonderland (aka nursery :heehee: ) and I *purchased* some bedding plants. Photo to follow, tomorrow! (After I have taken some 'cuttings' and after I have planted them up  )

              Nice patch, CJ!!! :dbgrtmb:

I have just planted 10 Dolichos lablab into the same non-holed container that they drowned in last year. Some people never learn.

If the heavens now open for the next three months you'll know who to blame.

I think you are safe, it will take the water board issuing a hosepipe ban for that to happen!

Apart from watering, nothing at all today - hayfever caught up with me big style today for some reason, so by the time I got home from work I was a snivelling wreck with red bloodshot eyes and a thumping headache.

Jollop? I only know that as something that would be given to a colicky horse?
