I think I am doing it wrong.

Sure, stuff is growing for me, and quite a bit of it from seed too - but I can't say that I have got to the green-fingered stage yet......

Mine are generally black as night from handling compost! :snork:

You are supposed to wash them from time to time FC...... and don't forget the hand cream, handling compost/soil dries your hands out. :heehee:

I keep one of those small, squirty, cleaner wotsits in my blow-away for a speedy clean up

Blokes aren't supposed to moisturise. Have you not seen the adverts? It prevents us from being able to hold a pint of John Smiths.

CL1 does in fact use moisturiser daily on hands, face and soles of feet. It keeps me beautiful:)

My husband swears by Neutrogena.....apparently this is what the Norwegian fishermen use, according to the advert. :) Husband is neither a fisherman or a gardener.

Edit: He 's not Norwegian either! :heehee:

I can see neutrogena being a good choice to keep your hands hydrated nourished and gently "greased" during heavy gardening jobs. It is really important to keep the skin hydrated because dry skin promotes infections.

Now, a Metro is either a car:
                      davidson-1_2219114k.jpg

                      Or a bus:

Neither of which I'd be inclined to be 'sexual' with - - especially the latter, coz I could end up PCV-positive! :heehee:
