    A lovely post that Kristen.
Full of wisdom; you really do need friends to drop by so that you can step back a bit and see it all from a different perspective for a while don't you?

I find writing up my blog (which I only do once a year) very cathartic for realising just how much we have done over the season, and looking back similarly for previous seasons, even though, to me, the place still looks like a work-in-progress / building site :)

I'm pretty certain your garden is not worse than mine. ;)

Parts of my garden look like (well they actually are) a building site, with cement mixer, bags of sand/cement and bricks and blocks. As Kristen said above most of us are very selective when taking photos. People joke on here that I always have a bottle of wine in shot, thinking it's for scale, well actually it's just to distract viewers from finding the background pile of pallets/floorboards. Even after 28 years my garden is still a work in progress :)

I built this 11 years ago in the bottom corner of my garden, it took me all my spare time one summer. I hardly ever sit there but it's a wonderful focal point!

Clueless, may I ask, how is your mam a widow if you help your dad with his allotment?
