You'd be better off getting it from your local garden centre - cheaper than the chemist :) Although, having said that, I only use a few teaspoons worth each year ... but I suppose you could just sprinkle it on pots (normal Miracle Gro doesn't contain any Magnesium, so if using that as a feed for container grown stuff they would benefit from a sprinkle - although I have read that annuals in containers, given fresh compost at the beginning of the year, are unlikely to exhaust the Magnesium in a single year. Tomatoes, on the other hand, definitely will!

I bought the Epsom Salts today and treated the lot.
Ive noticed more bee's this year than last and the year before, its amazing when you really study them, how many different species there are. Lots of different shapes and sizes. They seem to be going mad for the French Lavender and Geraniums.

You're right, Mr G, there do seem to be more Bees around this year and more types. Mind you we probably would be so aware of the different varieties if it hadn't been for Spruces Bee Keeping Thread!!:snork:

Planted the 2nd batch of Marigolds out today. Lesson learnt, dont sow too early. Will not sow next year until May.

Just checked out my honeysuckle, loads of flower heads and looking forward to a good show but on closer inspection, they all, well most have seemed to die off or dried off and will not come to anything. Any clues ?

I think it is suffering with drought. You cant win in this garden.

Rushed back this evening from work, took the cover off and tidied up. Measured the size of the kids veg patch, will by 1m x 2m. Will order the wood over the weekend. Ordered the bark today also. Laid out all of my Ilex Crenata baby plants and also the Box cones. Just enough plants to do the job, happy about that. Also bought a load of top soil in bags from Wickes that had a special on.
I will sort the play area out first before doing the lawn. I need to buy some turf, patch up the sunken flag stone area's, lower it a big in one corner, fork, rake mow then week and feed. Hopefully by the August, its going to be lush.

Wow what a scorcher !! Bought some turf today, levelled the dips that were the stepping stones in the lawn. Dug up the top right corner to lower the turf, put top soil around edges and seeded. Ordered wood for the raised bed in the play area and disposed of all the rubbish down the dump.

                Phew !! Knackered.
