Shiney said that! I keep reprimanding him that he's using obsolete names and not keeping up with the Young Whippersnappers :)

Mine has also started to flower - I love it when it is in full flower - also commonly known as Himalayan Honeysuckle - they spring up all over the garden.

It's not that I don't know the names of plants :nonofinger:. I just have trouble remembering them :noidea: :old:. So I rely on Mrs Shiney for the answers.

This time I remembered all on my little ownsome :heehee:

I admit I'm not keeping up with YW's but the names aren't obsolete to me (except when I forget them)! Of course, I always seem to remember the names of plants that have changed :snork: and most of the others I remember when I no longer need them

That's the one :blue thumb:. Thanks :). It has been there for years (at least 10) and never seems to need any looking after.

I bought one Pennisetum burgundy giant a couple of years ago from a garden centre. It had burgundy red leaves and long rosy / maroon plumes. A most handsome plant indeed. I knew it was tender, but still by October it died :cry3:. I think some of them probably need tropical conditions  . Unfortunately it didn't manage to produce any ripe seeds either . I'm pretty sure this time I'm able to collect some seeds from P thunbergii later, so if it dies I'll just grow it from seeds again next year :) .

PS the seedheads of Phuopsis stylosa and Anomatheca laxa are developing nicely. Will let you know when they are ready.
