'M' why not suggest to them if they enjoy them that much to buy their own for their own back garden!

I've only just found this thread :blue thumb:

I would be inclined to look at it in a good light. The neighbours seem friendly and complimentary.

Just because they say they enjoy watching the livestock doesn't mean to say they spend all their lives looking into your garden. It seems to me that they are say 'when we look out into the garden it's lovely to see them wandering around :)'. They get the pleasure of seeing them without the trouble of feeding them and mucking out.

It would be similar to them saying that they love watching all the birds that come to the garden - if you had a bird feeder like ours. Our birds have just got through 20kg of seed in six weeks!! And we don't get any eggs from them :heehee:

Or complimenting you on a beautiful display of flowers if you spent all yout time making the garden look very colourful.

It's a nice compliment and I would feel good about it. :dbgrtmb:

They are great neighbours, Shiney - one of the best I've had :blue thumb:

Well, no, quite; they do have to work :heehee:
Although he did make comment that he and his wife often gaze at them from their bedroom window. So, it does involve a specific intention to look into my garden (as opposed to going to the duck pond, in the park, at the rear of our gardens :heehee:) .
        Good point, well presented
Now, if only they would do that ... my poor flower beds never get a mention! :roflol:

But, yes, it is a form of compliment, I'll just make sure I contrive an "unobservable" point in the garden for my own garden pleasure: win/win. They will still see "M"s menagerie, but without seeing "M" :heehee:

You could just tactfully explain to him that his wife might prefer that he doesn't tell the neighbours about their bedroom habits, and even if his wife doesn't mind other knowing, you would rather not be told what they get up to in their bedroom. Just explain that most people consider the bedroom based activities of a husband and wife to be a very private thing.

I would rather people enjoy looking at my animals rather than complaining about the different noises and smells etc. The last thing you want is people on your back complaining about it. It could be alot worse than just your neighbours admiring your animals. :) xx
