2013 Onion Growing Challenge

    :snork: My biggest one is a foot high and half an inch thick. My normal Onion sets are bigger:doh:

      Not yet freddy I keep forgetting to take one when I'm up lottie I should be going tonight so I will get some then. I ain't seen em for a few days and I've been feeding them nettle tea so I might not be able to get through the gate;)

        The quote Reply function seems to be behaving rather strangely !

        Showmaster onions from bought plants. I couldn't get a decent bed sorted at my waterlogged plot, so they were planted into mud as I couldn't cultivate until June and my raised beds got filled with overwintering garlic:

              So, the Nettle tea I have brewing is no good for pumping up my Onions. I guess a high potash feed is in order? The obvious choice I suppose is Tomato feed, but maybe not?

                  Oh dear, looks like it Loli. I'd just leave it for a few days, to confirm that it is a seed-head, and if it is, have it out and use it.
