Members of the forum. The house i live in now belonged to my mum before she passed away 18 months ago. Im trying to find a plant with Pat or Patricia in is name. I would like to put a plant at the top of the garden for her. Any names would be wonderful.

    Cheers.

As an alternative / addition you might like to consider is something that flowers on her birthday, that way each year when that date comes round you'll have something colourful on that day :)

Crikey, 18months is still very early days: I am so sorry for your loss and all who's heart she touched in her lifetime and who mourn her passing :grphg:

Does it "absolutely" have to have a Pat/Patricia theme? The reason I say that is because, despite my father's name, his most favourite garden plant was ... Gladiolli! (which bears no hint or favour towards his name, his hobbies, his travels, his family or owt else, other than: it was *his* favourite garden plant!) :dunno:

On that basis, while a tribute to her name is commendable (and most touching!), sometimes, we overlook the most obvious: what was *her* favourite plant? That would certainly be the most meaningful - and, unfortunately, for that, you have to dig deep within your own memories and those who knew her, to find the answer you seek. It does exist though :)

Wishing you luck and fortune in finding just the right plant, for the right place, to give her a lasting tribute that you will feel the most comfortable with and will be the most fitting for your mother :)

                M.
Mums favorite were always her daffs. They are in the lawn, in pots and the front garden. Just been given a old wrought iron bench that i can put next to the flowers we as a forum choose.

Thank you everybody who has helped with this post. x

I planted some snowdrops on Father's grave - they are in flower for his birthday.
