Even though it has been hot done lots in the garden today. I have to start injections for arthritis of the collar bone - so getting as much done as possible in case I have to ease off gardening for a while.

Mowed the lawn - pic took from kitchen window

Spent some time clearing up the veg boxes

Garden looks wonderful GA from your kitchen window. A lovely view as you do the washing up I would imagine. Those injections don't sound very nice. Are they likely to be very debilitating?

Don't know Jenny! Been having physio and ultrasound on my shoulder for 2 months when they noticed a swelling on the front of the collarbone, after an xray found it to be arithritis. So have now been transferred to Peterborough for injections. Could be caused from 2 years on steroids for polymyalgia which started 4 years ago - although I have been clear of that for 18 months now.

Just pottered today, put up my sons bird house and bird bath, took me mam to the garden centre and cooked lunch. Watered, fed and just gave the lawn a good soak.

Pulled out some radishes and lettuce, and the single ripe tomato to contribute to dinner, and watered everything; other than that, I only wandered around with the camera the odd time, and that is about it.

Best wishes to you Grannie Annie - hope the injections work, and aren't too painful.

For the last 2 years I have been having a gardening night with my MD from work - showing him how to sow seeds etc. and general plant and garden care. Maybe time to call in a favour or 2 or maybe 3 or 4! I'll stick with 2 better not push my luck! When I had the polymagia he came and took my lawnmower off me and arranged for the husband of a friend to come round every week to mow the lawn.

It will be a lovely garden to look after for a while.
A nice :ccheers: awaiting his completion of the task will no doubt sway him ;),

Thanks FC - they have to work - I could not give up gardening and climbing up trees etc. The neighbours think at my age I must be 'tapped'. They look out and see this mad woman across the road stuck up a tree with a saw in her hand. :what:

I think all non-gardeners think we are tapped to be fair. Different story when they are eating the proceeds of our labours though...

Lovely garden Granny Annie love the stripes on your lawn.:dbgrtmb: Lovely garden and the lettuce looking good to.

I took my greenhouse down yesterday have got plans to put a raised bed along the side of the garage, and make a bit of a pergola to shade the wall as it is west facing and gets very hot in full sun. So hope that will give me shading on that side.:ideaIPB:
