Some people have all the luck..................

    ......................and for once it was me!
    Space issues last autumn meant that tough choices had to be made. The rubbish summer last year at least meant that my Brugmansia sanguinea was a success so I "gave it away". Unfortunately it was never collected so it sat there all winter fully exposed to the elements. I went to put it in the compost a few days ago and saw this............

    This is what the whole thing looks like...................

    Not only that, but here is the larger of the two Cantua buxifloia that I had. It was placed under shelter outdoors for the winter and it survived!

    The cutting in the cold greenhouse died.

      In my experience Brug Sanguinea does better in a bad summer, I'm sure it would hate this one just now.

      Agreed - it was outstanding last year! But it may be ready to bloom in the autumn?

      Mine alway flowered early spring and Autumn.

      Just grew leaves all summer.

      That's kinda what I'm expecting. An arctic August would be a help though!
