A very warm and sunny evening to you all

The MIL bought me this last year ( the tall slender one with lots of buds on it along the plant) but I can't remember what it is!

    Anyone shed some light please?

Many ta's and virtual drinkees in advance.

    Al.

Thanks guys, I've no idea what it is, I did have the label and it was bought from tatton flower show last year., it stands nearly 6ft upto now. It not only has buds all up the stem, but has multiple small stems off the main one with the same abundance of buds.
As soon as its in flower I'll take a pic. It was nowhere near as tall as this last year, maybe 12 inches at most. It seems to be forming a clump as well with more stems shooting. I can't remember it being in flower last year, and I've gone through my pics of the garden last year and I can't see flowers on it at all!

            Ooohhh, the suspense!,

I'm thinking something along the lines of a form of perennial foxglove, maybe something similar to Digitalis ferruginea gigantea? :)

Now, it'll be interesting the colour it produces, looking at the bigger buds, it. Looks a creamy colour.

I agree with Bilbo. There are quite a few in the perennial group of Digitalis that should be seen more.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. :dbgrtmb: :ccheers:

It certainly does look like a perennial digitalis. Be very interesting to see the colour now. Hopefully by the weekend all will be revealed!
