Superb - all the wall baskets Loli and I like your choice of colours too. A lovely theme,

I have just read through this entire thread and have total garden/plant envy. So many lovely flowers!

Not quite so spectacular but watering this morning I thought how pretty dill is. I grew some this year because I like the herb as much as anything else, but it's flowering and I'm not inclined to stop it

And thought how ace this dianthus is, bought last summer in the first year I had this garden when hardly anything I planted survived the slug onslaught

It flowered then and still going well now!

Mrs nFrost loves Dill, is it a perennial you have there? Does any one where I could get one please?

I grew mine from seed, they went in quite late (may) but seem to have done ok. I think they're not quite perennial, last two years or so. Seemed pretty easy to do and I'm definitely no expert. Not seen them as plants to buy, maybe one for sowing next year?

Unfortunately, it happens so often

I'll have to update my piccies of the baskets but it's a problem keeping them happy in this heat.

              Hibiscus trionum
Grew it from seed last year and managed to nurse it through winter. I'm pleased that all my trouble was not wasted, the flower is so much larger then last year's.

I don't think she is going to be quite that tall, but has still done well considering that it was a rescue case this time last year.

                  Your baskets look fantastic!

I am disappointed with mine, as they are starting to look a bit messy. I have two that are petunias (upright and trailing), and two that are nasturtiums; the petunias are all trying to trail, which is leaving a bit of a hole in the top of the basket; the nasturtiums are giving loads of yellow dried up leaves, and are generally looking scabby.

I really need to pay more attention to my baskets next year.

Jenny, they're quite dramatic looking but the flower can be rather smelly. It's one of a family of plants that some people call 'stink plants'. Don't be surprised that when the flower finishes the plant will look as though it has suddenly died. They die back very quickly but will come back next year.
