But we are very p.c., we have not posted any comments like, turn him out into the general prison population, do unto him , let the victims family have 5 minutes alone with him, etc etc, no we would not suggest anything like that. :eeew:

I don't fancy their chances long term, there is only so much the prison officers can do.

Would you want to live in a society where prisoners were allowed to be ripped to shreds by other inmates? No matter how repulsive their crimes, we should be proud that they are protected, this country would be a far worse place if they were not.

Sorry Madahhlia this man hacked an innocent man.. One of her majesty's soldiers, to death for no real or sound reason.. It is times like this when I actually find myself saying bring back the death penalty in such crimes.. In this case there is not even any reason for the expenditure of a trial.. He is guilty.. We all know we all saw...!!!

Personally, I do not see that he has any human rights to be honest, but that is not the real world i know.. I am proud of our laws, but some need updating to deal with today's crimes I think..

I begrudge the expense of keeping him in jail.. It is the likes of us all paying for him..

No sympathy sorry... He just plain shouldn't have done it...!!!!!!

I'm not saying he deserved sympathy, I said it was a repulsive crime. However, I don't see how allowing prisoners to be attacked by other inmates could possibly reflect well on our society or make it a better place for anyone to live in. Justice maybe a foregone conclusion in this case but in many other cases it wouldn't be, and anyway no punishment should be meted out by other offenders in a random and vicious fashion. Are we a civilised nation or aren't we?

Personally I think he should suffer a similar punishment to that which he would get in his own faith, should he commit such a crime.

Cut his head off, and lets get rid of such slime.

Lets face it, a few teeth wouldn't bother him much then, would it.

I agree, its not right that if someone has been sentenced that they should be vulnerable to attack, its just that its not possible to keep someone in solitary confinement given the budget restraints that we're all going through at the moment so these things will happen.

I am saying that I've got no sympathy in this case.

I'm also sure that if someone was kept in solitary then they would claim it was a violation of their human rights.

Seems to me that if you don't want your human rights violated then you shouldn't hack a fellow human to death.

I'd take it as a warning, next time I feel like killing someone, i'll remember, there will be no one in prison to protect me.

As I understand the situation it wasn't an attack by other prisoners, Madahhlia, but an incident that occurred when the person was being escorted around by 5 Prison Officers. The Prisoner is accusing the Prison Officers of using unreasonable force to restrain him.
Now considering the cowardly, brutal and savage crime he and his associate committed on a defenseless innocent person who they didn't even know and that he now knows he has no future, no life, has not be proclaimed a Hero by the Muslim Society, and therefore he knows he has nothing to lose. He's not going to be a prisoner who will willingly submit to prison life and rules and will object to being escorted around the Prison all the time by 5 Prison Officers. He's also likely to attack another prisoner [and yes, he's likely to be attacked by other prisoners] and be a danger to others including Prison Officer hence the large number needed to escort him and keep him under control.
This man will follow the typical route of a unhinged person with nothing to lose and will complain about every incident even if he has caused the incident. It's ironical that a guy who has murdered a defenseless person is complaining that "unreasonable force" was used on him to restrain him in an incident that he probably caused.
