You may need to root around to get the nozzle/rose though (I've just sent Mr M back to get some more)

Mr M has just returned with 4 more of those and then 2 smaller ones.

The one's we have got Harry are the 7ltr ones and I've just checked online and B&Q were selling them @ £3.98 (and the website is still quoting that price ;) )

        6 x £3.98 = £23.98 paid £3 :dbgrtmb:

The two smaller ones, I couldn't find listed on B&Q, but have found elsewhere online selling for £10 each! They were in the B&Q 50p bucket but when he got to the till, they only charged him 10p for each of them: so £20 ---> 20p!! :dancy: Thus, an overall "saving" of £40.68 :yay:

I've just "tested" them on my hanging baskets (the little cans) and they are great!! They have a little button to press before it will 'pour' :hapydancsmil: (I'm easily pleased :heehee: )

Oh the brand of the two little ones are: Nucan Pinpoint Watering Can

He can have a beer with his supper as reward for his commodity broking today :pathd:

I couldn't possible use a 7L Can. That would be like having to use Pounds, Shillings and Pence all over again! I couldn't possibly work out how much fertiliser to put in them - I need a decimal-can for that :)

Kristen maybe you are doing it wrong?
Add fertilizer to your (full) water butts and that saves all that faffing about with smaller and repeated measures :dbgrtmb:

              (*decimal-can* :heehee:)

Would do if it didn't rain and dilute it, no? Of course around about now, in a dry area like Suffolk, I'd be fine for months :)

Sharp eyes 'M'. I was in there on Thursday but didn't spot the cans. I'll have to go and take another look. :)

Have they changed it now then? It used to be that a pint was 568ml, so less than 2 pints to a litre.

But "M", you can't use multiple watering cans in one go, so in effect you've paid £3 for your bargain watering can, and accumulated 5 more that you need to find storage space for:)

Are you a hoarder per chance?:)

What I meant was: when the butt is full you add your fertilizer and then use that butt of water in your watering can. Maybe you can't easily disconnect your from your butt system? :dunno:

Have you seen the size of my garden? :heehee:

I can fill 3 all at the same time from 3 water butts (actually, probably all 6 in one go, but that would mean a sprint from one end of the rear of the house to the other to utilise the other 3 butts and my sprinting days are over).

If I'm on my own, I can carry two to the copse in one trip to fill up the ducks drinking water + top up their bathing water :) A third can will be kept topped up next to the chicken run: they get through one heck of a lot of water, especially this weather. Another will be used purely for pesticides and another will only be used for "feed" (e.g. tomato fertilizer) so it doesn't get mixed up with a) the ducks/chickens fresh water or (heaven help me!) the pesticide one :)

I've already experimented with the two smaller ones and watering two hanging baskets simultaneously with cracking results :dbgrtmb:

Hoarder? Nopey, just covering all my bases :heehee:

My previous couple both sprung leaks after the last winter.

You want a water butt that you can dunk a can in ... much quicker than waiting for them to fill from a tap ...

Ah yes, I think I recall you posted that once before? Should have listened the first time, shouldn't I :heehee: But, I'm a woman and we do like to multi-task and while those 3 cans are filling ... I could be ...

                          ... deadheading !
