    How are your sunflowers doing?

Here are a couple of mine (which are from the same batch, but, I didn't get around to planting any seed this year ... these are "volunteers" - probably courtesy of Mr Squirrel or Mrs Bird, or even Master Mouse? At a push, possible Wiley Wind, but, I doubt it)

    My tallest (something over 5' 2 & 1/2 inches)

    CIMG0033 (640x594).jpg

And standing next to him is his vertically challenged brother ... (below 5' 2" )

    CIMG0034 (527x640).jpg

He has a much paler central colour, so probably a bit of a rogue gene :heehee:

ARMANDII Hmm, maybe they've put their energy into growth. Last year (and I had a lot last year!) some flowered early, but the tallest didn't flower until much later (I'll need to check my photo albums to get an idea of how much later though)

Aww Zigs poor wabbit :cry3: Well done on your 3 surviving ones though :dbgrtmb:

Well, there are flower heads there slowly developing, it's just that the lateness of growing Seasons has had an effect on most plants.:dunno::snork:

                Cor, lovely show, Jiffy!

I read an old tip about growing sunflowers and beans side by side: the idea being that the sunflowers act as a support for the beans instead of using bamboo canes :)
