All I see, as I drag it, is the a copy of the picture sliding across the screen. Not sure what you mean about attachments.

I tried that some time ago without success, but I believe it was only working with some browsers/OS then, but now works fine on Win8 IE10:

Test - GC Gritter Problem Error Message drag and drop

P.S. I wonder if everybody has realised they can copy and paste pics from the web direct into posts yet? (rather than use insert image button or IMG tags)

Scrungee, we were discussing it above. Richard said we could drag and drop, which didn't work for me but, maybe I'm not doing it correctly. I've just tried copy and paste but no success. I can right click on the image and copy but when I go to paste it here the 'Paste' is greyed out. :cry3:

The two that I am missing (so far!!) are:

        The What's New filter
The highlight and then get a "Quote" popup - much easier than using REPLY and then having to chop out the bits that are not relevant.

No ideas how stable those ones were of course ...

EDIT: Sorry, hadn't realised there were a further two pages of posts where you discussed both. off to set up "ignore new posts" preferences, thanks. I'll look forward to the return of "Quote this" :)

The new format is covering 15" of my 17" laptop screen, is it going to remain that way please as I'm having problems with the glare of the white background. I'm also now having problems with vertical pictures, not being able to see them fully on screen as they are too big.

Yes, I agree that's its too wide. I'm having a lot of difficult reading lines that long (I could narrow my browser, but I have other TABs open that I want to be full screen width.

The Times Roman default font in the editor was something discussed a while back as awaiting the new editor before fixing. I'd like the default to be the same as the post (which is "font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"). In particular the small-caps digits give me a problem at present. for example (try typing this in the editor) A120oO ...

I'm not sure what you're referring to as too wide. Mine takes up slightly less width of the screen than it did before and the background behind that is the blue sky with clouds - which I think is part of the GC screen background.

Pictures seem the same size as usual.

Perhaps you don't have a "wide screen"?

Here's original/new screenshots from top/bottom of a page showing wide line of text (which I find harder to read than the original narrower width):

width has been sorted its responsive up to 974px wide and then it turns to fixed mode

for those on small screens/mobile devices check out the new responsive/mobile look!

              Interesting!

First of all, my display is back to what it was before and now leaves me three eights of an inch at either side and the font is nice and big.

Kristen, you're correct, I don't have a 'wide screen' and have purposely kept away from having one. When I bought this screen (19" square screen) I had difficulty finding a supplier for square screens. Having worked with wide screens I decided that I don't want one and don't need one as I no longer bother with spreadsheets. :)

This one has given excellent service for the last two or three years :dbgrtmb:
