    2. click on the 3rd square from the right ie= your username
    3. all your details will be shown
    4. log out is at the bottom - on the right

@shiney Copy & Paste is from web, not from your hard drive which requires Drag & Drop. Copy & Paste (from web) will put the image straight into a post, but Drag & Drop from one's hard drive will insert it as an attachment to the post and still requires Inserting (as with uploaded images).

        Examples -

        1) Copy & Paste from web:

        2) Drag & Drop (an amended copy) from hard drive, inserted below:

        Shiney.png

That second image had a corresponding attachment to the post, unlike the first, but it disappeared on posting and only displays when using More Options whilst editing.

P.S. Although I've said (as a Window user) that Copy & Paste from the hard drive doesn't work, could somebody with a Mac (+ Linux user?) check it out as it might work with those?

@Scrungee I tried drag and drop but didn't know what to do next! I still don't . Once I've dragged it to this screen, how do I 'Insert' it?

When I drag it here it disappears.

          For @shiney

Drag a pic into your post
          Shiney1.png

That will attach it as a file, so then insert it:

          Shiney2.png

              @Scrungee

              Thanks for helping :blue thumb:

That's what I've tried but it doesn't drop into the edit box. When I try to drop it the edit box twitches and gets a fraction of an inch deeper but doesn't display the picture. Then, as soon as I do anything (click in the edit box or drop my picture folder), the edit box twitches again and loses that little bit of extra depth. There is nothing there and no 'Attached Files' section.

              Yours,
              mistified

I can drag the pic from the post above into this post where it becomes an attachment:

              836ef5f8-ae64-4024-aa54-464fea1531be_zps495506b5[1].jpg

And I can copy and paste from Photobucket without going through the rigmarole of copying links, etc., in this size from the Album
              [IMG]

or this size from the individual image

The 'How to post an image' thread needs updating!

What browser and version are you using? I know @Richard.r has tried all browsers, but if its not a Chrome specific thing then it has to be HTML5 or ActiveX or Flash thing, because pre HTML5 browsers don't support that kind of thing natively.
